Background: Amarone Classico is produced in Brigadalla, located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica appellation, near the entrance to the Marano Valley. Careful grape selection and rigorous drying procedures are crucial to this wine. Vinification begins after approximately 120 days of drying, allowing all the precious nutrients contained in the grape skins to be transferred to the wine. Amarone Classico follows traditional vinification methods and is finally aged in large wooden barrels.
Tasting Notes: A vibrant red color, with delicate aromas of red cherry and berry fruit intertwined with floral notes. The palate is sweet, followed by a hint of wood, which merges with pronounced yet silky tannins. The classic dried fruit finish is followed by a hint of alcoholic heat that elevates the aromas to another level.
