Background: Amarone Case Vecie takes its name from the vineyard of the same name in Grezzana-Valpantena. This unique location, with its altitude and exposure, allows the grapes to ripen slowly and steadily, even in the most challenging years. The late harvest allows the grapes to be dried during the cooler months of the year, resulting in a more prolonged drying process. Amarone Case Vecie is a terroir wine that emphasizes the characteristics of the high-altitude climate - a true "Vigne Alte," an alpine Amarone.
Tasting Notes: The charming, ripe aromas, with a hint of toast, combine with notes of dried berries, kirsch, fig, and herbal notes. The subsequent taste is fresher and softer, with precise aromas of cinnamon, pepper, tobacco and flowers. The finish is long, with strong tannins but fine and delicate.
