Background: Avola Noir means "black from Avola", derived from the grape variety's characteristic deep skin and its birthplace, a small town on the southeastern coast of Sicily. Avola Noir is the most important and most planted red grape variety in Sicily. Large amounts of black d'Avola wine have been produced in Sicily for centuries. Not long ago, Avola Noir was mostly used in blends and rarely appeared on wine labels. However, in recent years, the potential of Avola Noir has been rediscovered, and it is increasingly appearing on the market. Most wines are made from the single grape variety of Avola Noir. This grape variety is often compared to Schiff, mainly because of its similar characteristics and its preference for growing in Mediterranean climates.

Tasting Notes:Intense purple-red color with elegant ruby-red luster. Wonderful aromas of black cherries, spices, violets and rose water come to the nose. The rich and juicy wine body complements the sweet and mature tannins. The finish lingers in the mouth for a long time. It is an ideal table wine.
