Country of Origin:New Zealand - Central Otago
Vintage:2013/15
Alcohol:13%
Grape Variety:100% Riesling
Residual Sugar:
Food Pairing:Duck breast、Short ribs
Decanting Times:2 hours
Winemaking:12 months of new (24%) to 4 year old French oak barrels. The malolactic fermentation went through unaided (non-inoculated) in springtime; it was then racked back into barrel and allowed a second winter in barrel before being run directly into bottle without filtering or fining.
Tasting Notes:"A blend of parcels across the property, this has a deeply spicy array of mixed fruit, framed in aromas of flint, dark stones, pepper, woody spices, wild herbs and fresh earth. Texturally, this is super fine and taut, which reflects the schist soils found here. Very fine, powerful and athletic with sustained fruit flavors that are typical of pinot noir. Long aging potential. Drink or hold."- James Suckling
