The history of the Brigada Winery dates back to the 15th century. The Cesari family took over in 1929 and began producing their own wine in 1979. The winery is located north of Verona at the entrance to the Marano Valley, one of the four valleys that make up the Valpolicella Classico region and the region's oldest and most ancient wine-producing area. The winery encompasses approximately 50 hectares, encompassing three distinct zones within Valpolicella. Each zone's aromas represent a unique terroir, and the distinct characteristics of each can be tasted in the wines produced by the Brigada Winery.

Since the 1980s, Valpolicella has consistently pursued a unique wine style, particularly in its Amarone, which requires long air-drying, extreme color extraction, and a moderate amount of residual sugar. Brigada Winery has completely overturned this style, pursuing its signature lightness and freshness. They prioritize drinkability while preserving the grapes' inherent aromatic characteristics. They also prioritize environmental sustainability in their vineyards, maintaining a healthy cycle and balancing the overall ecosystem. Brigada Winery is dedicated to producing the highest quality Veneto wines, and their unique character has made them a favorite among many Amarone enthusiasts.
